IQNA – An Iranian cleric said it is a divine pledge that the front of the truth will be victorious over the front of falsehood and this will certainly be fulfilled.

Hojat-ol-Islam Hossein Mollanouri

Hojat-ol-Islam Hossein Mollanouri, former deputy for propagation of the Islamic Seminary, talked to IQNA regarding the Israeli regime's aggression against the country and the importance of defense from Quranic and religious perspectives.

The first point is that throughout the history of struggles between the front of truth and falsehood, we have lost great commanders and pioneers, he noted.

“These martyrdoms and losses are not signs of the invalidity of this path. Rather, it is divine tradition that individuals from both the front of truth and falsehood die.”

He referred to Verse 140 of Surah Al Imran, “If you get hurt, certainly others have also experienced injuries. We have made people pass through the different turns of history so that God would know the true believers, have some of you bear witness to the people's deeds, God does not like the unjust,” and said this verse points to this divine rule.

Certainly, he said, the status of those killed on the path of truth versus falsehood differs as greatly as earth from heaven.

“As the Holy Quran expresses, ‘Those who are killed in God’s way are not dead; rather, they are alive, sustained by God’s bounty.’”

However, he said, slain Zionists will be taken to the fire of hell.

“Another point is that the martyrdom of commanders and figures does not slow the movement. History demonstrates that whenever commanders of the truth front have perished and achieved martyrdom, it has strengthened the truth front. In recent years, we have lost great figures such as Martyr Qassem Soleimani, Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, Sayed Hassan Nasrallah, and recent martyrs including Martyr Hossein Salami, Martyr Mohammad hossein Bagheri, Martyr Ami Ali Hajizadeh, and others. Yet through the blessing of their blood, the Islamic Revolution (of Iran) will be strengthened more than ever before.”

Just as the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (AS) strengthened Islam, the recent martyrdoms will enhance the Islamic Iran, he underlined.

He cited Verse 139 of Surah Al Imran, “Do not be discouraged or grieved. You alone will have true dignity if you only are true believers,” and said people should not be discouraged but should resolutely confront the front of falsehood.

“Furthermore, we must preserve and safeguard the achievements earned by the blood of martyrs. Those engaged in speech, pen, pulpit, art, and media bear a heavy responsibility in this arena.

“Those who possess the tongue and pen to elucidate truths must enlighten (others), and know that they are following in the footsteps of the martyrs,” he said, noting that the Quran says, “Among the believers there are men who have been true to their covenant with Allah. Some have fulfilled their vow dying, and others await, unyielding to change.” (Verse 23 of Surah Al-Ahzab)
